Mobile Alerts – Frequently asked questions

We’re introducing SMS alerts as a new feature on BidSpotter.

SMS alerts will launch initially for customers with watch listed items in Timed auctions. More alerts will become available shortly and we’ll be back in touch soon to let you know when these are available.

Q. What SMS alerts will I get?

Watch list reminders for Timed auctions
If you have watch listed an item in a Timed auction we’ll send you an SMS alert shortly before the item is due to end. To ensure that you receive your SMS alert please watch list the item at least a day before the auction.

Watch list reminders for Live auctions
If you have watch listed an item in a Live auction we’ll send you an SMS alert shortly before the item is due to be offered by the Auctioneer.

Auction reminders
If you are approved to bid in an auction we’ll send you an SMS alert shortly before the auction starts.

Q. How many alerts will I receive a day?

We'll only send you a max of 1 alert per 30 mins, up to 6 times a day.
